Jeffrey Scott - Chairman
Mr. Scott has served as Chairman of our Board since January 2005. Since 2001, Mr. Scott has served as President of Postell Energy Co. Ltd., a 29 year old private oil and gas producing company. He has been in the oil industry for over 28 years and has extensive oil and gas management and operations experience. Beginning as a production manager of Postell Energy Co. Ltd in 1985, he advanced to President in 2001. Mr. Scott has served as a senior officer and/or director of various publicly traded companies and is currently a Director of Essential Energy Services Trust, and Galena Capital Corp., all of which are publicly traded companies, and Tuscany International Inc., a private company. Mr. Scott holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Calgary, and a Masters of Business Administration from California Coast University.
Walter Dawson
Walter Dawson is the Founder, Chairman and CEO of Tuscany International Drilling Inc. He was the founder of three prior service companies, Computalog Inc. an oil and gas wireline logging and perforating company operating in Canada, Enserco a well service and drilling rig company operating in western Canada and Saxon Energy Services Inc. a drilling company in North, South and Central America. Mr Dawson has over 40 years experience in the Oil and Gas business both as a board member and operations. Mr. Dawson was inducted into the Saskatchewan Oil and Gas “Hall of Fame” in 2007, for his outstanding contribution to the Saskatchewan Oil and Gas industry.
Verne Johnson
Verne has an extensive career in the energy industry after graduating in engineering.He started work with Imperial Oil and EXXON,was CEO and Director of a number of independent oil companies in Canada including ELAN Energy.He is currently Chairman of Fort Chicago Energy Partners LP,and a Director of Harvest Energy Trust,Gran Tierra Energy, Essential Energy Services Trust, as well as a number of private companies.
Nick Kirton FCA, ICD.D
Nick is a Chartered Accountant and retired in 2004 after a thirty-eight year career with KPMG. He currently sits on the boards of four other public companies. He is also a member of the Board of Governors of the University of Calgary and the Board of Directors of the Canadian Investor Protection Fund and is a member of the Education and Qualifications Committee of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants. Nick is Chairman of the Audit Committee for Gran Tierra Energy.
Scott Price
Scott has 25 years of diverse global oil and gas experience in North and South America, Europe, Africa, Middle East and the former Soviet Union. Most recently he was the President and CEO of Solana Resources Limited prior to its combination with Gran Tierra in November, 2008. He has been a founder, director, and /or officer of a number in internationally focused public and private companies including Aventura Energy Inc., and Ocelot International Inc. Mr. Price holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering and a Masters of Business Administration both from the University of Calgary.
Ray Antony, B.Comm, C.A.
Ray has been a Chartered Accountant for more than thirty years. An independent business man since September, 2006 Ray was previously the President of Breakside Energy Ltd., a private oil and gas exploration and production company since January 2004. Prior, Ray was President of Resolution Resources Ltd., a public oil and gas exploration and production company since October 2001. Mr. Antony has obtained significant financial experience and exposure to accounting and financial issues as a director and audit committee member of a number of public companies with international operations in Argentina, Algeria, Papua New Guinea and Peru.
